The Story

What is the future of mobile quick service food experience?

Bean Buddy was done in collaboration with a team in the Product Design Studio to pair an interactive experience with mobility. Our concept is built to work with a coffee vendor bicycle to reimagine the future of the mobile quick food experience.

Research Findings

Survey Data

When we sent out surveys to ask people about their mobile drink experience, we found that students on the Georgia Tech campus gravitate towards to-go options and drink coffee as a reward. Following quality, convenience was one of the top influencers as to where our users would get their drinks.

Concepts

How we got there...

As a team, we created concepts for what we could do to create a mobile drink experience that respected user's time and relationships. We also wanted to preserve authenticity and humanity in our experience while leveraging symbols and values through our artifacts.

User Testing of Prototypes

User Testing of Prototypes

We did user testing through emulating a cafe experience with our concept.

A lot of my personal contribution to this group project was done through the character design, graphics, and initial concept as the base of our idea.

Final Concept

Meet Bean Buddy

The ultimate coffee companion designed to elevate your daily brew experience. Inspired by the charm of early 2000s games, this sleeve brings nostalgia and functionality to create a coffee community. With its ability to navigate to wherever the coffee bike is located, initiate payment, and interact with neighboring cup sleeves, Bean Buddy ensures every sip is a delightful journey.
